Do you plants have a spider-mites infestation  problem? If so, you're not alone. Spider mites are tiny little creatures that can cause big problems for plants. Let's take a closer look.

Neem oil: What is it?

Spider mites are a common pest that can cause significant damage to plants. Neem oil is most likely to work against spider mites.

How does neem oil work?

Neem oil works for plants by acting as a natural pesticide. It is effective at preventing pests from feeding on the plant, and it also helps to kill off any existing pests.

How do spider mites affect plants?

Spider mites are small, eight-legged creatures that feed on plant cells. Spider mites damage plants by sucking out the fluids that help the plant grow and function. They also spread diseases in plants. When spider mites infestation attacks  a plant, widespread damage occurs instantly. The damage is highest when the spring arrives and their eggs hatch.

Spider mites cause damage to plants when they infest in large numbers. Large populations of spider mites can attack plants and suck the plant's fluids out, causing a dry and wilted appearance on leaves. Telltale signs of red spider mite infestation include spotting on the top of the leaves and yellowing around the edges.

Spider mites infestation commonly attacks plants in warm climates and can cause damage by sucking plant juices. It causes plant leaves to droop and turn yellow or brown, stunts their growth, and even kills house plants. Check plants at least twice a week  to identify spider mites or any common garden pests or diseases. Be very cautious during drought conditions as this is when  spider mites thrive.

  • I bought a plant a few month back and started to notice little bugs coming from it. I looked up some information and was shocked to know quarantine was what I should have done. I have since then been infested with some sort of mite. I think I am allergic to them because I am the only one in my home being bitten. They are also webbing through the lining of all my clothing. I have done everything to get rid of them and can not!! Washing in hot water and drying clothes does not work. There is nothing really written about the affect they can cause on humans. I had no clue when it first started what was happening and if it wasn’t for the bites on my arm the Doctor would have chalked it up to me being coo coo, because you can’t see them. I have used tweezers and a magnifying glass and seen it as clear as day it’s a mite. But it’s not leaving me or my clothing. Please tell me what to do so I can get my life back to normal?
